ATHOL — After the Sinclair Jimmy Fund tournament game between Chuck Stone Little League and North Leominster rained out back on July 26, the two teams decided not to make up the postponed game. Both teams were given a tie for the game.

The decision came because the two teams could not find a makeup date that worked for both sides.

The decision has little impact on the single-elimination playoff tournament however, which will begin on Wednesday for all four teams at 5:30 p.m. No. 1 Winchendon (6-0) will face No. 4 North Leominster (0-5-1), while No. 2 Quabbin (3-3) will face No. 3 Chuck Stone (2-3-1). The only improvement Chuck Stone could have made in its playoff seeding was moving into the No. 2 spot with a win over North Leominster. The team would have still faced Quabbin, who would have moved to the No. 3 spot in the playoffs.

No team within the Sinclair Jimmy Fund tournament was left out of the playoffs.

The winners of the two playoff matchups will face off in a championship game on August 5 at 1 p.m.
