PHILLIPSTON — The North Quabbin Chamber and Red Apple Farm present Jay Gates as Rod Stewart on Saturday, Aug. 11, at the farm when the chamber holds its annual Summer Sundial Chamber. The free show will begin at 5 p.m. at the farm at 455 Highland Ave.
Summer Sundial is sponsored by Kimball Cooke Insurance/MAPFRE, Witty’s Funeral Home and Ron’s Fuel.
Gates performs more than 40 of Stewart’s songs and dresses just like him. He belts out the tunes with the same raspy, four-octave range voice as Stewart. He has appeared in feature films and Rolling Stone magazine, and he graduated from Berklee College of Music and the New England Conservatory. He studies with vocal coach Mark Baxter.
The event is part of the Red Apple Farm Brew Barn summer music series. There will be food from the barbecue it and special collaboration beers from Moon Hill Brewing Co.
The farm opens at noon. There will be more than $2,500 worth of raffle prizes, including items from Hamshaw Lumber, Girardi Distributors, House of Wax, Gordon Fresh Produce, Red Apple Farm, Gardner Ale House, Pete’s Tire Barns and Clamber Hill Inn and Restaurant. Prizes include multiple Red Sox tickets, overnight stays, a portable fire pit and more.
