BARRE — The Quabbin Little League Open Jimmy Fund team defeated Lunenburg 15-5 in the opening round of the single-elimination playoff on Monday.

It will face North Leominster in the championship match on Friday at 5:30 p.m. in Leominster.

North Leominster defeated Leominster National to advance to the championship game.

North Leominster entered the tournament as the No. 1 seed and with a 6-0 record. Quabbin entered as the No. 2 seed with a 4-2 record. Lunenburg entered as the No. 3 seed with a 2-4 record and Leominster National entered as the No. 4 seed with an 0-6 record. All Open Jimmy Fund teams qualified for the tournament.
