Motorcyclist seriously injured in Orange accident

ORANGE — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a sedan on north Prospect Street last Friday.

Crews from the Orange Fire Department responded to the scene around 9:11 a.m., along with the Orange Police Department.

The driver of the motorcycle, Emery Hughs, 29, of Orange, was transported to the UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester via LifeFlight helicopter for serious injuries.

The fire department’s second ambulance crew treated the driver of the car, Dean Miller, 54, of Orange, at the scene, according to the police department. Miller reported the accident and was advised to return to the scene.  

The Orange Police Department is investigating the incident.
