The final NASCAR Whelen All-American Series event of the season was held Saturday at Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, New Hampshire.
The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Divisions and the Lightning Stocks crowned their champions: Matt Gauffin (Lightning Stocks), Richard Vincent (Thunder Stocks), Matthew Kimball (Mini Stocks), Hatfield’s Tyler Leary (Super Stocks) and Keith Carzello (Sportsman Modifieds).
This week’s winners were Sammy Silva (Young Guns), Gauffin (Lightning Stocks), Dan Cugini (NEMA Lites), Kimball (Mini Stocks), Solomon Brow (Super Stocks), Geoff Rollins (Sportsman Modifieds), Todd Bertrand (NEMA), and Ed Lofland (Thunder Stocks).
The Champions Go-Kart race ended the evening. All five champions competed with two provisional starters included: Hillary Renaud (Thunder Stocks) and Kim Rivet (Sportsman Modifieds). Richard Vincent started on the pole for the 10-lap event that took place on a track set up along the front stretch. Vincent led every lap on his way to the win, but it wasn’t without pressure from Carzello, who came up just short and finished second. Gauffin finished third.
The final event of the season will be the Summit Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Mudslinger Mudbog Spooktacular being held Oct. 14 at noon.
