Bryce King’s goal in the first half was enough for the Athol boys soccer team in a 2-0 win over Renaissance, Wednesday at home.
A Renaissance own goal made it 2-0 at halftime.
Angel Rivera assisted on King’s goal for the Red Raiders (6-2, 4-2 Schmid).
Casey Mason made four saves in the shutout.
Belchertown 8, Mahar 0 — Ethan Williams and Logan Dodge made a combined five saves as the Senators were shut out on the road.
Mahar (5-3) has lost three straight.
Mahar 3, Franklin Tech 0 — The visiting Senators hung on for the 25-16, 29-27, 25-20 sweep in an independent match in Turners Falls.
Hailie Meeker had six kills and Jordyn Berry added six aces for the Senators (5-3). Aria Flematti registered 18 assists and Lauren Henne notched 13 digs.
Southwick 22.5, Mahar 1.5 — Tucker Ninteau shot a team-best 46 for the Senators (0-8) in a road loss.
Andrew Finch took 1½ points for Mahar in the No. 2 match against Ben Cleland. Finch finished with a 59.
