Jayden Carey led the Mahar middle school football team to a 24-0 win over Turners Falls, Tuesday in Orange.

Carey had over 150 yards rushing and three touchdowns on the ground. He also converted on a couple 2-point conversions for the Senators.

Daniel Kidwell connected with Kaleb Lemcke for another conversion. Connor Sluder and Carey led the Senators’ defense, with multiple tackles for a loss.

Mahar 28, Athol 0 — Cain Young played well for the defense, but the Red Raiders junior varsity football team was shut out by the Senators on Monday.

Boys soccer

Mahar 2, Athol 0 — The Red Raiders middle school team got shut out by the Senators on Monday.

Aiden Erickson played well in net, but the offense could not get going.

Hopkins Academy 1, Athol 0 — On Wednesday, the Red Raiders middle school team couldn’t net an equalizer in a loss to the Golden Hawks.

Girls soccer

Mahar 4, Drury 0 — Sienna Moore helped the Senators junior varsity team blank the Blue Devils on the road Monday.

Moore had two goals and an assist for the Senators. Haylee Allen and Maddie Blattenberger (assist) also scored for Mahar.

Maddison Lloyd notched her fourth shutout of the season.
