GREENFIELD — November is “National Hire a Veteran” month. Many area businesses are hiring with positions in manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, education, retail, food services and accommodation, and administrative and support services.
On Thursday, Nov. 8, the MassHire Franklin Hampshire Career Center will host a Veterans Resource and Job Fair at Greenfield Community College, from 10 a.m. to noon. The job fair is free and open to the public. Veterans who preregister with MassHire Franklin Hampshire Career Center will receive free coaching on how to prepare for the job fair and apply for a job including learning interview techniques on how to present themselves to employers.
Veterans will have first opportunity to meet the employers and vendors at 10 a.m. The Job Fair is open to the general public at 11. There will be 30 employers from Franklin and Hampshire Counties and the North Quabbin Region participating. Job seekers are encouraged to dress appropriately for a job interview and to bring a resume.
The fair will be held at the Main Campus, Cohn Family Dining Commons, 1 College Drive.
