Tickets for the Thanksgiving Day football game between rivals Mahar Regional and Athol High School are now on sale.
Tickets can be purchased at Athol High School, Athol-Royalston Middle School, Joe’s Barber Shop, Subway of Athol and American Legion of Athol.
Tickets are $7 in advance pr $10 at the gate on game day. The game is at 10 a.m. at Athol.
Youth Basketball — Games get underway Thursday for the Orange Recreation Association (ORA) in the girls league for fourth through seventh grade.
Witty’s Funeral Home plays Pete’s Tire Barns at 4 p.m., followed by Ames Trophy against Porter Transportation at 5 p.m. at Fisher Hill Elementary School.
ORA also features two boys and girls travel teams ranging from fourth to eighth grade. Those teams begin play after Thanksgiving.
Youth basketball at the Athol Area YMCA begins with skills day this Saturday.
Games begin on Dec. 1.
The YMCA offers boys and girls leagues ranging from kindergarten to middle school.

Play begins this Saturday in the Chipmunk division at 11:30 a.m.
Penguin division gets underway at 12:30 p.m. followed by the Beaver/Cadet league at 2:30 p.m.
