COMMUNITY HELPERS — The Athol Woman’s Club received some good help from the Castle Tree Service crew to install the 2018 Memory Tree on the uptown common in Athol this week. Left to right are Bob Gauthier, Al Benjamin Jerry Lamontagne, Kevin Materas, and Mike Whitman. They made it look like easy work as the tree was hoisted from the truck bed. Al Benjamin orchestrated the details as he has for 30 years. The Junior Members of the Woman’s Club will be doing the decorating on Friday. Donations to remember special loved ones will support the Woman’s Club community projects throughout the year. Donations may be sent to PO Box 194, Athol, MA 01331 or to Else Wear, 1485 Main St., Athol. The lights on the tree will shine throughout this season of love and kindness. On Saturday, Nov. 24 at 6 p.m., the public is welcome to “Carols and Cocoa” at the Memory Tree, with refreshments to follow at the Athol Congregational Church.
