The Monadnock Speedway is under new ownership for the upcoming racing season, which starts on May 4th.

Norman Wrenn Jr., a New Hampshire businessman, finalized the purchase on Thursday from previous owners Larry Cirillo and Fred Pafumi.

Pafumi and Cirillo had owned the track in Winchester, N.H., since 1984.

The track will continue to carry the NASCAR Whelan All-American Series sanction, and in addition to their weekly divisions will host the Valenti Modified Racing Series, Granite State Pro Stock Series, Tri-Track Open Modified Series, International Super-Modified Association and Northeastern Midget Association.

There will be some changes to Monadnock, including new bleachers. The 2019 schedule should be released in the next two weeks.

Michelle Cloutier, longtime manager at Monadnock, will return with the new owners and continue to serve as the track’s operations manager.

It will be the speedway’s 49th year of operation this season.
