ATHOL — The 2019 dog licenses for the Town of Athol are available in the Town Clerk’s office at the town hall, 584 Main St. The cost of dog licenses are: male/female, $15; neutered/spayed, $8. Dog licenses must be renewed by Feb. 28, or a $15 late fee will be charged.
Dog licenses may also be obtained through the mail. Send a check payable to the Town of Athol with the required fee and a self-addressed stamped envelope. Proof of rabies vaccination and neutering/spaying is required for all dogs.
Online payment for dogs is now available. Go to the Town of Athol’s website at www.athol-ma.gov. Check rabies information with the Town Clerk prior to making an online payment.
Residents who no longer own a previously licensed dog are asked to notify the Town to avoid late notices and fees. Office hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. For further information, contact the Town Clerk at 978-249-4551 or townclerk@townofathol.org.
