HOST BAND – “SpaceBar” is the host band for Royalston’s second Open Mic Night, slated for Friday, Jan. 4 beginning at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall. Band members include Jim McRae, no stranger to Royalston’s Open Mic stage, who will offer vocals with keyboard accompaniment. Bassist Angela Haynes and guitar player Mike Italia will also supply vocals. Drummer is Ivan Ussach, and Royalston’s own Jim Bennett will play the sax. The Royalston Cultural Council organizes the first Friday fun, which offers entrees, sweet treats, and non-alcoholic beverages for nominal donations. The event is open to the public, and there is no cover charge. Those wishing to perform are asked to arrive between 6:30-6:45 p.m. to reserve a performance time.
