Gabe Hume and Ben Kearney scored two goals each for Athol Credit Union in a 5-0 win over Brad Matthews Landscaping in the dek hockey championship game at 202 Sports on Monday night.
The win for Athol Credit Union came in the Beaver/Cadet division.
The bankers got another goal from Braden Engelke-Aiken.
“The kids have been great this season,” assistant coach Stephanie Euvard said. “They all have been good sports, win or lose.”
Ryan Berthiaume was a solid veteran presence for the team all season and led Athol Credit Union in scoring.
Berthiaume added two assists in the championship game.
Kevin Ferguson got the shutout in net for Athol Credit Union.
Brad Matthews Landscaping had trouble finding the net on Monday, but Evan Dubrule led the team in scoring during the regular season.
There will be championship games and consolation games on Saturday at 202 Sports starting at 11 a.m. with the Chipmunk consolation game followed by Chipmunk finals (noon) and Penguin finals (1:30).
