ATHOL — A 20-year-old male driver succumbed to injuries sustained in a one-car crash on Templeton Road on Thursday, Jan. 24, and died at Athol Hospital.
The Athol Police and Fire Departments responded to the one-car crash on Templeton Road at 3:03 p.m., involving a single car which struck a telephone pole. In a statement released by the Athol Police Department, it appears that heavy rains were the contributing factor for the accident. There was a driver and one passenger in the vehicle.
No more information is being released at this time so that proper notification of next of kin can be made.
