10:07 a.m. — Constable requesting assistance with an eviction, West Main Street. Reported abandoned dogs on scene; four dogs retrieved by Animal Control Officer. Water department requested to shut off water to the building. Advises the meter was broken off inside the building and water flowing inside the structure. Occupants not there.

10:22 a.m. — Honey Farms manager delivered driver’s license found at their facility, Daniel Shays Highway.

11:56 a.m. — Swift River School requested a welfare check on 5-year-old, Daniel Shays Highway, who did not show up for school. Officials unable to make contact with mother. They advised the father, who could not provide a reason child was not in school. They advise they have been staying at Travel Inn in Orange. At 12:07 mother advised that the child was home sick today and she will contact the school.

12:44 p.m. — Haskins Road caller reports someone drove over her property. Tire tracks were found leading from Haskins Road toward the new clearing for a solar farm. Caller was provided some options.

12:50 p.m. — Motorist stopped for impeded operation, South Main Street. Operating while looking at cellphone and not the road.

2 p.m. — East River Street party to station reporting his VA benefits account was hacked yesterday.

2:24 p.m. — Caller reports the kitchen window in the adjacent apartment on Cheney Street appears to have been shot out. The caller owns the property and his tenant is being evicted.

Officer observed back window shot with a BB gun. Incident put on record.

2:30 p.m. — Resident to station reporting a scam attempt. Party identifying themselves as an attorney stated grandson needed $8,500 for bail. When told that kind of money was not available he said it could be reduced to $4,500. No information was provided.

3:50 p.m. — North Main Street caller reporting a male hit a possibly pregnant female in the stomach. Male party currently sitting in a black Ford in front of the residence. Officer requesting fire department respond; female is complaining of stomach pain but refusing transport. She stated it was a verbal argument only. Complained of stomach pain due to stress. Refusal signed.

5:16 p.m. — Smith Avenue caller requesting officer swing by as party is there to pick up a vehicle and he wanted to make sure he was releasing vehicle to property person. Party had title in hand to vehicle, active license. Vehicle released, and towed away.

8:52 p.m. — Canon Lane caller advised a dark colored pickup truck with a cab that sounded funny hit a rock and is trying to leave. Second caller advises they heard a loud crash and metal crunching sound and believed that truck hit something. States the truck is now driving around the circle. Officer observed significant damage was observed to the lawn and bushes of Canon Lane. suspected vehicle located at Memory Lane with damage to all sides, and a flat tire. Several attempts were made to knock on the door but no one answered. Officer will follow-up.

10:09 p.m. — East River Street caller reports a lot of swearing going on in the main drive by Colonial Acres; two males and possibly a female. Officer located individuals and situation mediated.

11:32 p.m. — Breaking and entering, East Main Street. Party requesting phone call from officer; she is currently out of town, and found out her ex-boyfriend was in her apartment earlier today.

11:51 p.m. — officer spoke to reporting party on Chase Street and advised her of how to obtain a restraining order as well as the process for a not trespass. Officer also spoke to the male party involved.

1:38 a.m. — Two males with white sweatshirts, reportedly walking up Congress Street at this time, trying to break into cars. Party observed this occurrence while out walking a dog. Males ran into a backyard on Pleasant Street. Once in the area, officer observed two males matching the description, who ran into a backyard. The officer exited the cruiser and after a brief foot pursuit, one male was apprehended. Shortly after, the second male was found on West River Street. Stolen property was returned and male juveniles were released to parent.

2:40 a.m. — Caller advises her boyfriend locked her out of the house, East River Street. Female brought back to her apartment and spoke with male who let her back in. Both agreed they were going to bed and there would be no more problems.

7:05 a.m. — Adult female called and asked what day it was, East River Street. Caller was confused about the day, but denied needing any services and hung up.

7:26 a.m. — Bacon Street caller reports a child in apartment tends to wake up and start banging on the floor at all hours of the night. Officers spoke with occupants and upstairs neighbors were advised to be mindful of their downstairs neighbor in regard to excess noise.

10:16 a.m. — Animal complaint, East Main Street. Animal Control advised.

10:31 .am. — Fire alarm sounding, East River Street. Caller advises smoke from frying pan, no fire. Command confirmed no fire; ventilating.

11:06 p.m. — Motor vehicle lockout, Daniel Shays Highway. Entry gained. While on scene, vehicle was found to have expired registration, which was renewed via smartphone.

12:36 p.m. — Officer was flagged over on East Main Street and received complaint of a parking violation. Vehicle was not in a marked space and interfering with the travel land and impeding the turn into the parking lanes. Observed vehicle parked at an angle on the diagonal No Parking area, impeding traffic. Parking ticket issued for not parking in a marked parking space.

12:48 p.m. — On patrol officer observed an occupied vehicle parked in the Fire Lane, East Main Street. Operator advised of the violation and moved to a parking space.

2:30 p.m. — Hamilton Avenue caller advises she believes subject stole her lock box which had her prescriptions and tax money. Occurred within the last 15 minutes. Reporting party states subject stated he stepped out and needed some air. For some reason reporting party decided to check her lock box and found it was gone along with medications and $700. She was advised that officers would try to locate subject. At 2:45 p.m. reporting party advised that subject will bring back her stuff, but not if there is an officer there. States she will advise police if he doesn’t return the items.

2:39 p.m. — Request to check welfare of a young boy walking an older yellow lab close to the road, Eagleville Road. The boy was pulling on the dog’s chain and when the chain got caught under the dog’s leg it was having a hard time walking and was apparently not walking fast enough for the boy so the boy punched the dog on the head. The dog ended up laying down like it was in pain or afraid. The boy ended up pulling the dog back up to the house. Information relayed to Animal Control.

3:30 p.m. — Larceny. Hamilton Avenue caller reports male party brought back her safe; however she is missing medications and $180.

5:12 p.m. — Memory Lane caller reports he hit a rock in someone’s front yard last night. He left a note for the property owner and that after speaking with a friend he thought it best to report same to police. Officer made contact with subject.

7:02 p.m. — East Main Street caller requested to speak with officer about personal property and threats being made to him. Advised of how to obtain a Harassment Prevention Order. Also stated subject has an iPad that belongs to him that he wants back. Attempts to reach subject were unsuccessful. Party was advised to go to court to resolve.

10:44 p.m. — East River Street party advises subject has found out that his friend died today and is taking it hard. States she hasn’t seen him in a few hours and he was going to the police to speak with the earlier. Officer confirmed he spoke with subject a few hours before and he stated he was going for a walk. Party called back and advised she hasn’t heard from subject yet. Officer has not seen him.
