5:26 a.m. — Noise complaint, East Main Street.

9:40 a.m. — Reporting party from East River Street states that she keeps getting harassing text messages and e-mails from her ex-boyfriend. She has been blocking him and wants to know options. She was advised of the Harassment Prevention Order process and the possibility of a Criminal Harassment complaint if it continues.

9:45 a.m. — Traffic hazard, East Main Street. Caller reporting shih tzu that had initially been very close to the road.  The dog returned to the house “with all the junk” and she did not want to follow it because it was private property. Police advised dog lives there.

1:05 p.m. — Walnut Hill Road. Caller requests police assistance as her father asked for her to help with moving some things around and another party is refusing to let her in the residence. All parties were spoken with and the caller was advised that it would be beneficial if she spoke with her father later on returning to the home to help him in moving. She was also advised of her options if her father allows her in the home as it is a joint property.

2:53 p.m. — Spill or leak, New Athol Road. En route for an oil spill.

5:12 p.m. — Noise complaint of loud music, Fountain Street. Upon arrival, the music had already been shut off.

5:13 p.m. — Assisted Athol police to serve warrant, Walnut Street, Athol. No contact at the Athol address, subject was supposedly at Walmart.

7:16 p.m. — Caller states someone left an oxygen tank under a picnic table, East Main Street. Officer responded and was unable to locate the item.

9:11 p.m. — 911 call, Pleasant Street. Open line, no sounds of distress. Officers made contact with Pleasant Street residents who said they did not call. 

9:11 p.m. — Fire alarm, West Main Street. No smoke or flames reported. Nothing showing, alarms sounding. Command will be on the scene for a little bit, awaiting a key holder.

10:37 p.m. — Shoplifting reported, East Main Street. Caller saw a male subject run out of Walmart with two big boxes, get into a vehicle that had a female operator and left, heading on Route 2A toward Athol. Vehicle a Subaru SW, possibly green with an unknown plate. Caller no longer on the scene. A call was placed to Walmart that a male subject shoplifted two televisions and gave them a Massachusetts place. Athol police were contacted and a Be On The Lookout (BOLO) was issued for the vehicle. Male subject was wearing a long sleeved gray shirt and a black hat. Requested Ashburnham police BOLO for the vehicle and also check the residence. At this time there is no probable cause for arrest. Requested to identify all subjects in the vehicle and advise Orange police. Checked the area and unable to locate the vehicle. The incident is under investigation.
