The Massachusetts District 3 Little League tournament began play this week, with the local winner advancing to sectional competition.
The Quabbin Area Little League team and the Chuck Stone All-Stars will compete with Leominster, Lunenburg and North Leominster in the tournament.
The tournament, which begins with round robin pool play, runs through July 12th when the playoffs begin.
The five-team tournament will turn into a playoff between the No. 1 seed vs. the No. 2 seed.
Quabbin and Chuck Stone play at James H. Salevan Field on Saturday at noon, where there will be a fundraiser to benefit Little League.
