BARRE — The Quabbin Community Band (QCB) celebrates their last concert of the summer season when they present Dixieland on Sunday, Aug. 11, at 6 p.m., from the Nornay Park Bandstand, on the South Barre Common, Main Street.
The traditional end-of-the-year program will cover all the Dixieland favorites, highlighting several selections from Johnny Warrington as well as pieces from Irving Berlin, Clement Weidenmeir and Jared Spears.
Attendance at the concert is free, with donations graciously accepted. Rain location if needed, is the Barre Town Hall, 2 Exchange St. Concerts are supported in part by grants from the Local Cultural Councils (LCCs) – Barre, Oakham, Hubbardston and Hardwick/New Braintree, local agencies who are supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
