ATHOL – During a brief meeting Wednesday night, the Zoning Board of Appeals held a public hearing then continued the appeal of Paul Euvrard of 18 Harvard Ave. who is seeking a Special Permit for a retail business at 19 Harvard Ave. in the Residential A Zoning District. Euvrard said he wants to use the property to cut and split cordwood to be given away. He said his son-in-law Matt Tolppa, who does tree removal, provides the wood and delivers it to the property.

Board member Susan Mondi-Sykes requested a full plan of what Euvrard plans to do, including where the wood will be stored, parking, what kind of equipment will be used, and hours of operation.

The hearing was continued to Sept. 25 at 7 p.m.
