ROYALSTON — “Get Schooled,” an evening exploring Royalston’s schools over the last 150 years, will be held at Royalston Town Hall on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. The event features exhibits of class photos from Royalston schools over time, a slide show about the town’s many one room school houses from the late 19th and early 20th century, and a brief documentary with interviews and 1930s photos from School House #1 with teachers Maxine Wilcox and Eleanor Huff.
In addition, the society is in the process of gathering memories from students past and present recalling unforgettable school moments through drawings, writings, and video. These personal histories will be on display that evening as well. Come add your voice to the Town’s historical record. The event is free and back-to-school refreshments will be served.
