Workers from the Dependable Petroleum Service of Plymouth were busy installing new gas pumps at the Conway Petro convenience center at 1590 Main St., uptown Athol on Monday. Store manager Dawn Coston said the work, which includes repaving the immediate area, is expected to be completed by Thursday, and the center will reopen by Friday. Plans call for repainting the exterior, weather permitting, and the inside of the convenience center will be refurbished and rearranged for a fresh, new look, she said. Conway Petro sells regular unleaded gasoline and the new pumps will feature user-friendly credit card readers.
