Friday, Nov. 1

8:01 a.m. – Report of a line down, Warwick Road. Referred to utility company.

8:05 a.m. — Bank card brought to station.

9:20 a.m. — Report of a possible hit and run motor vehicle accident in the parking lot, Court Square. Surveillance video paperwork completed and faxed. Investigation to start once received.

10:26 a.m. – Report of stolen U-haul truck, West Main Street. Vehicle entered into system as stolen and believed to be headed to North Carolina.

12:08 p.m. – Tree down on power lines, Creamery Hill Road.

2:33 p.m. – Caller reports extremely intoxicated person fell and hit his head, Cloukey Avenue. Fire department transported to Athol Hospital.

2:53 p.m. – Hit and run, New Athol Road. Caller reports trucks from solar project were parked at his property. He asked them to move. He went into the store and when he returned about an hour later, observed that his mailbox had been smashed and would like it investigated.

2:55 p.m. – Report of unwanted subject, Shelter Street. The situation was mediated and options provided.

3:42 p.m. – Cell phone found in parking lot at the corner of Congress and South Main streets turned in.

3:46 p.m. – Disabled motor vehicle at Mahar Middle School.

3:54 p.m. – Welfare check, East River Street. Report of children home alone in apartment. A 12-year-old was babysitting. Neighbor was also home and was aware the children were in the apartment.

7:14 p.m. – Assist other agency, Creamery Hill Road. Requesting Orange Police Department to check to see if the tree is still in the middle of the road. At 7:33 p.m. advised that the road is clear. Highway Superintendent notified.

9:21 p.m. – Disturbance, Dexter Street. Peace restored.

9:57 p.m. – Caller reported that approximately 15 minutes ago she backed into a parked vehicle at Pine Crest, got out and saw no damage. She did not want to leave her information on the vehicle because she was afraid if the person got into an accident they would blame her for it. Report taken. Unable to reach other owner.

11:45 p.m. – Tree limb on lines reported on North Main Street. National Grid notified.

11:58 p.m. – Caller advises her neighbor is drunk and threatening her family, Pleasant Street. Per the caller, party is stating he is going to kill them, beat them up, and use an ax and is beating on the wall between the apartments and could be heard yelling and slamming doors. Party advised to be quiet and go to bed for the night and he agreed to do so.

11:59 p.m. – Disturbance, East River Street. Caller states three kids were dropped off from a visitation and they are outside with no coats, banging and screaming on the middle front door of building. Officer advises all quiet outside the building.

Saturday, Nov. 2

3:13 a.m. – Carbon monoxide detector going off, Mechanic Street. Advised caller to keep her windows closed if safe to do so and if safe to do so have everyone exit the building. Elevated CO levels detected. Assisted fire department.

10:49 a.m. – Report of a tree and lines down, Forrest Lane. On arrival, National Grid arriving on scene.

12:25 p.m. – Caller states he had a female come to his door claiming she is a census worker and started asking him personal questions. Party left 15 minutes ago and headed toward South Main Street. Female located and advised to check in with the police department in the future.

12:44 p.m. – Party requesting to fill out a missing person report. Person has not been seen since sometime after 8 p.m. Oct. 30. They spoke to her on the phone Thursday and she made a plan to grab her belongings on Friday around noon because she planned on moving out – they still haven’t heard from her. Staff advised that the officers would check the area and if they hear from her to notify police. Same entered into the system as missing.

2:12 p.m. – Disturbance, East River Street. On arrival, male party involved had left. The female was spoken with and it was found that the argument was over possible substance abuse. Party was provided her options going forward and to call the police department if any further problems occur.

5:49 p.m. – Theft of a canoe reported, Holtshire Road.

6:02 p.m. – Officer wanted, South Main Street. Caller states she was outside on the smoking deck and saw a black extended cab pickup truck drive by with a woman in the vehicle that was screaming, “Help. He’s got a gun.” The vehicle was on South Main Street and turned onto West River Street. Could not locate. Units will continue to be on the lookout.
