7:08 a.m. — Party is saying the neighbor’s dogs are barking constantly and getting out and into her yard, Cheney Street Extension. Same is an ongoing issue. She states it is interfering with her and her son’s sleeping and being able to put her dogs out. She states they have since quieted down. Spoke to reporting party who stated the dogs behind her house are keeping her up at night and also her young child. Spoke to owner of the dog and advised of the complaint, she will try and get the dogs to stop.
7:37 a.m. — Party states her son is out of control, Bacon Street. Male party is yelling, stomping and jumping around. Assisted in getting him calmed down.
11:20 a.m. — Call to the station reporting an audible alarm and a loud smash, Tully Road. Upon arrival, all doors and windows were secure, key holder arrived and thinks there was a faulty alarm.
3:11 p.m. — Party requesting an officer as there are two sixth-grade students that are acting up on the bus, Dexter Street. They have evacuated the bus. The reporting party states they are starting to settle down but they still would like an officer. Upon arrival, staff informed officer that the situation was under control and the police were no longer needed.
3:38 p.m. — Motor vehicle stop, Daniel Shays Highway. Citation issued for failing to inspect.
3:38 p.m. — Motor vehicle stop, Hayden Street. Officer conducted a traffic stop for failure to maintain proper lane and it was discovered that the operator was under Junior Operator License restrictions and was not supposed to have passengers. The passengers were picked up by a licensed adult and the driver was released with a warning.
4:05 p.m. — Motorist flagged down officer regarding a red Jeep at the dealership that is making it hard to see at the intersection, East Road and New Athol Road. Officer spoke with manager who will have Jeep moved back a little further.
4:25 p.m. — Motor vehicle violation, New Athol Road. A 38-year-old and a 64-year-old from Athol were arrested on charges of uninsured motor vehicle and unregistered motor vehicle.
7:01 p.m. — Officer checking on a male subject, North Main and Mechanic streets. Male advised he was the school janitor and he was on a smoke break. All checked okay.
8:21 p.m. — Officer stopped for speeding, East River Street. Operator found to be junior operator with restricted passenger violation. Citation issued.
11:43 p.m. — Party reporting a female party came in with two young children and per the reporting party, she is very high, East Main Street. Reporting party is worried about the welfare of the children. Officer requests Athol PD be advised, same done. Athol PD advises they made contact with party, everything is all set.
