2:35 a.m. — Party requesting a welfare check on her grandchildren who live with their mother, East River Street. Spoke with the reporting party and advised her grandchildren are living in Athol. Reporting party was advised subject will be contacted in the morning to give her a call. Reporting party was satisfied. Unable to make contact with subject.

2:43 a.m. — Alarm, Jones Street. Upon arrival all doors were secured. Key holder arrived and reset the alarm.

2:52 a.m. — Alarm sounding, Battle Street. Officer stated the alarm for the transfer station is an audible alarm that could be heard from Battle Street.

10:11 a.m. — Report of a large branch across the road, West Myrtle Street. Officer responded and stood by until the Highway Department arrived on scene.

10:42 a.m. — Harassment, Wheeler Avenue. Officer spoke to male party about emails sent on behalf of sister. No problems were found. Reporting party was contacted and advised of same.

12:22 p.m. — 911 hangup, East River Street. On call back spoke to female party who stated she was testing a LifeLine protection system, no emergency.

1:19 p.m. — Officer conducting a welfare check on a child, South Main Street. All was in order.

1:50 p.m. — Officer spoke to male party who was harassing a male party in Hadley who was provoking him.

2:52 p.m. — Officer assisting Hadley PD with harassment issue, Brookside Road.

4:45 p.m. — Officer wanted, East River Street. Party called the station as she and her ex-boyfriend purchased a 4-wheeler and both paid half for it. The reporting party said she never got a bill of sale. The reporting party was advised this is a civil matter.

6:12 p.m. — Party requesting an officer for an ongoing issue with kids on bikes, East River Street. Spoke to parents of kids and advised them of complaint. Also spoke to the kids in regards to bicycle safety.

6:36 p.m. — Party requests officers attempt to make contact with subject and have him call regarding lab results and if possible contact within the hour, East River Street. Reporting party advises he has already left two messages on subject’s cell. Officer responded and delivered message.

6:41 p.m. — Officer approached by subject stating a resident locked herself out of her apartment, East River Street. Entry was gained through a window and resident able to get back inside.

10:50 p.m. — Party is looking to speak with an officer regarding whereabouts of her daughter, East River Street. Officer returned call and advised the reporting party that her daughter no longer resides in Orange and moved to another town a while ago.

Thursday, June 4

9:20 a.m. — Party advises they have a large snapping turtle migrating through their yard and was wondering if someone could move it along, East Road. Reporting party was advised to just let it be and it will move along on its own.

10:31 a.m. — Motor vehicle violation, Brookside Road. Officer stopped vehicle for speeding. Operator was issued a citation for the violation.

10:36 a.m. — Welfare check, Chase Street.

11:11 a.m. — Animal complaint, East Road. Rogue snapping turtle.

12:27 p.m. — Party advises that he received a letter in the mail from the Massachusetts Unemployment Office about the claim he filed on May 20, Oxbow Road. He did not file this claim. Wanted on record in case of future issues. Reporting party also wanted to speak with an officer about an individual that has been trespassing on his property. Options were discussed.

12:29 p.m. — Party would like to report a stolen debit card, North Main Street. Officer responded and took report. Reporting party advised to contact the bank so officer can investigate.

3:30 p.m. — Reporting party called the station as he and his girlfriend have separated and he has property at her house, East River Street. Called the reporting party back who said he will be out of town working until late tonight and will call back tomorrow when he is back in town.

3:35 p.m. — Caller reports an unemployment claim was filed on May 26 using his information, Butterworth Road. He did not file. Wanted on record.

3:50 p.m. — OFD responding to a box alarm, Governor Dukakis Drive.

4:00 p.m. — Caller reports an unemployment claim was opened in his name, North Main Street. It has been reported and is being investigated. The reporting party was told to call and have logged with the police as well.

5:12 p.m. — Animal complaint, Carpenter Street. Ongoing complaint that the neighbor’s dogs just came into the reporting party’s yard and were snarling at her and her son while they were working in the yard. Spoke with the reporting party who explained how this is an ongoing issue with the dogs going in their yard. Spoke with neighbor regarding the complaint and the leash law. Will be given to the ACO for follow up.

6:05 p.m. — Passing motorist stopped with a purse he found in the middle of the road, South Main Street. Officer familiar with subject, will attempt to locate. Attempted in house phone number twice, mailbox full. Placed in lost and found.

10:04 p.m. — On patrol, officer located an unsecured lawn mower, East Main Street. Alarm was also accidentally set off. Key holder contacted and put the lawn mower inside.

10:11 p.m. — Party advises there sounds like some type of disturbance in the Armory parking lot, East Main Street. Officer checking the area. There are several broken boards in the parking lot. On arrival, all was quiet. Several wooden stakes had been thrown around the parking lot. Spoke with neighbor who did not hear anything. Officer saw a subject walking down toward the Armory a few minutes before the call. Will follow up next week as there is a camera on the side of the building.

10:54 p.m. — Dispatcher inquiring if subject was a missing person from Orange, New Athol Road. Same advises he is with officers and seems very confused. RMV shows no missing person report, no reports found in master names, last interaction 2013. Reporting party advised of same.
