Massachusetts residents are encouraged to submit applications for $50.8 million in grants that are available to support small businesses, micro-enterprises and their employees, families and communities. Applications will be accepted until noon on Nov. 12.
According to the Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation (MGCC), which is administering the funds, the grants will be given to businesses with 50 or fewer employees that are experiencing economic hardship and a loss of income due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The money was appropriated through the state’s supplemental budget for fiscal year 2021, as well as the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
