Orange welcomes new police officer

ORANGE — The Selectboard voted unanimously Wednesday to appoint Donald Hagar as an officer with the Orange Police Department.

Hagar appeared virtually with Police Chief James Sullivan and was welcomed by Selectboard members.

He was previously the fourth generation in his family to work as an officer with the Athol Police Department. In April 2020, Athol Police Chief Craig Lundgren issued Hagar a letter of commendation for his successful months-long investigation into spray-painted graffiti found on privately owned businesses and town-owned property.
