Come witness one of the most spectacular dances on earth — the courtship display of the American woodcock. Normally a reclusive forest dweller, the male of this game bird species takes center stage in his springtime dance to attract a female. We will start with a display of a stuffed woodcock specimen and an explanation of the courtship dance by David Small, then hike into the meadow for the evening show.
