BOSTON — State Sen. Anne M. Gobi (D-Spencer) has announced a new addition to her staff. Following the departure of her former legislative director, and subsequent staff changes, Gobi tapped Carolyn Fenerty, a Worcester resident, to serve as her new legislative aide. Fenerty joins the State House staff where she will work alongside the existing team to support daily operations and constituent services.

Fenerty is a 2020 graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, where she was a Fullbright Scholarship semi-finalist. While attending the College, she interned for the U.S. Department of State and the Former Congressman Joseph Kennedy. Most recently, Fenerty has been a paralegal with Chisholm, Chisholm and Kilatrick, LTD, of Providence, R.I. Working in the law firm Fenerty worked to support veteran’s claims for benefits from the Veterans Administration.

Gobi offered the following statement regarding her new hire.

“Carolyn is a welcome addition to my staff. She is joining my office at a crucial time, as I onboard new communities through redistricting. Carolyn has a connection to Worcester, and brings a skill set to my team through her previous work with veterans. I am confident that she will serve the Worcester and Hampshire district well, as a member of my staff.”

On being hired, Fenerty said, “I look forward to the new challenges, presented by working in the legislature, and building relationships to support Sen. Gobi as she serves her district. I hope that my work will provide support for community members and make them feel welcome when they call or arrive at the State House.”
