ATHOL — Join the staff at the Athol Public Library on Feb. 15 at 6:30 p.m. to learn about local birds in winter, presented by Dave Small, president and acting director of the Athol Bird and Nature Club.
Learn which birds can be seen locally in winter and what you can do in your yard to attract them. Providing food (native plants), water and shelter will greatly increase the diversity of birds visiting your yard.
For over 28 years, Small has been the charismatic leader of the club. His skills as a naturalist, trip leader and presenter are in demand throughout New England.
This free program was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services — Dig-In Grant.
Please register by visiting athol.librarycalendar.com/events/local-birds-winter-0 or by calling 978-249-9515.
Although this program is geared primarily towards adults, families are welcome.
