ATHOL — Join the Athol Public Library at 568 Main St., on Thursday, March 17, from 6 to 7 p.m., when the library welcomes Frank Mandosa for a slideshow lecture on “Paul Newman: Star of the Stage, Screen and Salad Dressing!”
You’re invited to look at the life and career of the Hollywood icon who starred in classics such as “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” “The Hustler,” “Hud,” “Cool Hand Luke” and “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.”
Mandosa is a full-time high school English teacher with a lifelong love for cinema. Since 2012, he has been presenting on a wide variety of film-related topics. In the past he has hosted an Academy Awards lecture, horror film lecture, and Bing Crosby: The King of Christmas Crooners at the Athol Public Library. Mandosa has taught courses in cinema at Project Contemporary Competitiveness (PCC) and in the high school classroom. Please visit frankmandosa.weebly.com for more information.
