ATHOL — River Rat Race Chair Jeannette McIntosh reminds people, “Only four days until the Rats flow down the mighty Millers River.”
McIntosh noted that the sign-ups are coming in slow and steady for this 57th running of the Athol to Orange River Rat Race. This year, sign-ups locally are at Elsewhere UPS store at 1485 Main St. in Athol. The final day to sign up in person is Thursday, April 7, at 8 p.m. Or, new this year, registrations may be done online at www.riverratrace.com. Entry fee is $42 per team.
The Post Position drawing will be Friday, April 8, at the Athol Town Hall beginning at 7 p.m. McIntosh said that race organizers will also be honoring late Race Chairman, Dave Flint, as well as giving a rousing thank you to retiring Safety Director of 38 years, Tom Lozier.
