BELCHERTOWN — Starting Saturday, April 16, the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation’s (DCR) Quabbin Reservoir (100 Winsor Dam Road, Belchertown) will open for public shore and boat fishing. Shoreline fishing will be allowed except at marked locations from dawn to dusk every day until the season ends on Saturday, Oct. 15. All three boat launch areas will open at 6 a.m. every day until the season ends.
Additionally, DCR has an online dashboard, updated every 15 minutes, that shows the number of available boat rentals at each site.
