ATHOL — Join the Athol Public Library on Saturday, April 23, at 10:30 a.m. as we celebrate Earth Day by learning how to reduce contributions to the landfill and improve soil with composting.

Rick Innes of Clear View Composting will present an easy, natural process for disposing of organic materials. With a little science and effort, you can make better compost faster and use it in your gardens with great results.

Innes will share his expertise and have a hands-on activity for younger attendees. Please bring all your questions.

Innes launched Clear View Composting in 2008 and has built a dedicated base of customers who value his top-quality compost and soil blends. Before coming to Orange in 2000, Innes was Boston’s first recycling director (1989-94), served as Boston’s deputy budget director (1986-88), and represented Boston on the Advisory Board to the Mass. Water Resources Authority (1985-89).
