WINCHENDON — Get some fresh air and enjoy nature this month in the park around the Winchendon Library. In partnership with HEAL Winchendon, the library is offering a fun, afternoon Library Hike with Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust, on Friday, May 13, at 4 p.m.
Join the Beals Memorial Library for a fun afternoon of exploration of the park while using the materials from their new Nature Adventure Backpacks. These backpacks include a selection of useful items for an adventure out in the wild, such as binoculars, a compass, tick remover, and some handy wildlife and plant booklets to help explorers identify the things they observe. All of the Nature Adventure Backpacks have been made possible by grants from the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts and the Robinson-Broadhurst Foundation and were provided by the Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust.
This event is free and open to kids of all ages. Registration is required.
