ROYALSTON — On Sunday, July 24, at 2 p.m., Ferron Dooley Fairchild will lead a flower design workshop at the Town Hall, 13 On the Common, in Royalston. Pre-registration is required by calling the Library at 978-249-3572 or emailing royalstonlibrary@gmail.com. Fairchild will instruct participants in design concepts and principals, sharing which flowers work best and when and how to harvest different varieties. She will share helpful tips on arranging flowers and utilizing a variety of non-flowering materials as well. There will be a large variety of flowers and vases for each person to select to create his or her arrangement.
Ferron is a flower farmer and floral designer in Turners Falls. She has seven years of experience at flower farms and design businesses in Long Island, Southern Maine, Boston, and Western Massachusetts. She believes strongly in increased accessibility to flowers, floral design, gardening, and farming for all people and loves to share her passion for flowers.
