BARRE — Don’t miss the final and traditional Dixieland concert to be held on Sunday, Aug. 14, 6 p.m., at the Harding Allen bandstand in Barre. Former Quabbin Community Band Director Beth Bryant will be on hand to help us celebrate this long-established event.
Last week, the QCB board met to hire Margaret Reidy for the 2023 season. A unanimous vote of confidence for her no nonsense, highly professional while at the same time engaging and endearing style as conductor made the decision a “slam dunk,” as noted by first trumpet player Steve Aliquo. The many decades tradition of this strong community band seems in very excellent hands for the year ahead.
