Meet and greet planned with
administrators
ORANGE — A meet and greet with Orange Elementary School Principal Lisa Lewis and Assistant Principal Paul Fraleigh will be held on Monday, Aug. 22, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Ralph C. Mahar Regional School.
ORANGE — The Orange Community Band recently completed its summer season with the presentation of four scholarships to graduating area seniors who have displayed the love of music personified by late band President John R. Tandy.
Kaitlyn Murray, Miles Ledoux, Mackinley Drew and Megan Ward were presented with John R. Tandy Memorial Scholarships after expressing that love through an essay. Murray has been accepted to the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Ledoux will attend the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, Drew plans to go to Johnson & Wales University, and Ward will attend Nichols College.
Susan Tandy Songer presented the scholarships during the final Friday concert of the Orange Community Band’s regular season. Plans are being made for the band to perform one more concert on Labor Day weekend.
ORANGE — In-person early voting for the Sept. 6 state primary will be offered at Town Hall, located at 6 Prospect St., between Aug. 27 and Sept. 1. The precise hours are as follows:
■Saturday, Aug. 27, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
■Monday, Aug. 29 and Tuesday, Aug. 30, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
■Wednesday, Aug. 31, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
■Thursday, Sept. 1, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
During weekday polling hours, polls will be closed for a one-hour lunch break from noon to 1 p.m., according to a notice from Town Clerk Nancy Blackmer.
