The team of Shawn Record, Ed Batchelder, Mike Regan and Mark Logan posted a total of 14-under-par to pace the field at the Gary Stacy Memorial Scholarship Outing on Thursday at the Country Club of Greenfield.
Second place finishers were John Hickey, Marty Sanderson, Dave Kennedy and Brodie Conant at 13-under, while three teams tied for third at 12-under (Dan Gavin/Doug Muelhberg/Steve Lovett/Casey Gavin, Matt Pitoniak/Bill Luippold/Kevin Piecuch/Hap Eaton and Kasey Nagle/Martin Spallone/Steve Diagammo/Andy Pelis.
Four teams notched low net honors thanks to 19-under scores:

Closest to the pin winners were Duane Semb (No. 2, 21 inches), Marty Spallone (No. 5, 9-1), Dave Kennedy (No. 11, 10-11) and Mark Woynar (No. 15, 24½ inches). Longest drive winners were Mike Regan (men) and Casey Gavin (women).
Ruggeri scores ace
For the second time in his career, Joseph Ruggeri recorded a hole-in-one on Wednesday.
Using a pitching wedge at the Country Club of Greenfield, Ruggeri aced the fifth hole, measuring in at 136 yards. It was his first hole-in-one sinec he was 13 years old. The feat was witnessed by Matt Parody, Greg Call and Steve Lovett.
Thomas Women’s League
Sally Malloy fired a 43 to earn low gross honors at Wednesday’s Thomas Memorial Women’s League in Turners Falls.
Low net honors went to both Kate Dwyer and Karen Kacenski, who each posted a score of 26.
Closest to the pin winner on No. 7 was Kacenski (2-3).
Timmons-Messer League
Dave Brady and Jim Cadran teamed for low gross honors at the Timmons-Messer League at Northfield Golf Club on Wednesday, posting a winning score of 35.
Andy Chartier and Rick Stempel were second at 37, while Nate Pecor and Dan Grybko had the low net score of 26. Bill Roberts and Trevor Blake were second with a net score of 27.
Pecor was the match medalist with a 37 on his own ball, followed by Matt Deane, Trevor Blake and Dave Brady all with 40. Closest to the pin winners were Jim Garanin (No. 6, 8-9) and Brian Cocco (No. 7, 6-8).
Northfield Summer Series
Noah deRuiter crossed the line first at Thursday’s Northfield Summer Road Race, covering the 3.3-mile course in 22 minutes, 9 seconds.
Joe Snikeris (25:15) took second, followed by William Thomas (25:33), Tim Relyea (25:28), and Trevor Brice (26:47).
Robin McKeon (27:42) finished seventh overall and was the first female finisher.
