9:37 a.m. – Police contacted the owner of a wallet that had been found, which was able to be returned.
1:34 p.m. – Police mediated an on-going neighbor dispute with the downstairs neighbor when a Whitney Street area caller requested an officer. Police spoke with the involved parties who were advised to stay away from one another, and to bring all pertinent information to court.
3:12 p.m. – Caller from East Main Street reported a female party at the ordering window that was carrying a Smirnoff can. Upon Police arrival, while speaking with female party, a male party became volatile, and was subsequently arrested for disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assault and battery on a police officer.
8:10 p.m. – Athol dispatch reported a lot of smoke on the Orange side of North Orange Road. Advised under control, extinguished small camp fire.
10:34 p.m. – Packard Road area caller advised his vehicle had been stolen. Vehicle was borrowed by a known party, but they had not returned it. Reporting party declined police offer to assist by taking in-person report at their residence. Reporting party requested that they just work on finding his car. Police issued a BOLO based on the vehicle information provided.
12:09 p.m. – East River Street area caller reported she had received a call stating they found her identity for possibly sending illegal things and there was a warrant for her arrest. Police were unable make follow up contact with the reporting party at that time.
1:02 p.m. – A patrol officer in the Water Street area was flagged down by a motorist who reported teens that were riding their scooter on the road and almost got into an accident. Officer was able to locate and complaint advised.
1:04 p.m. – Police mediated a possible harassment situation in the East Main Street area. Police spoke with all involved parties as well as staff.
1:07 a.m. – South Main Street traffic stop for failure to dim headlights and marked lanes violation.
1:03 p.m. – Assistant ACO (Animal Control Officer) helped to get a loose dog that had been reported in the Wheeler Mansion area back home. It was found that the dog had gotten loose from their backyard.
1:09 p.m. – Daniel Shays Highway area caller advised police that she had made an agreement with an individual to fix her son’s truck, but they would not return it. Police following up to contact other involved party.
2:47 p.m. – Police responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident on North Main Street. Upon arrival, police confirmed no injuries at that time. Requested towing to remove one vehicle from the roadway.
7:02 p.m. – East River Street area station lobby walk-in to file a harassment report.
8:43 p.m. – Police responded to Fieldstone Drive report of juvenile(s) on reporting party’s property setting off fireworks. Police responded and spoke with the youth (who denied being in the reporting party’s yard but admitted to lighting off small fireworks) and their mother about the complaint.
12:01 a.m. – South Main Street traffic stop. Verbal warning for failed inspection.
1:09 a.m. – Police follow-up, Daniel Shays Highway, on a request to check on an occupied van. Reported that the male party appeared to be passed out, was found to be taking a nap after a long drive. No issues.
5:58 a.m. – New Athol Road area alarm sounding. Construction workers on the second floor unknowingly set the alarm off. The rest of the building was secure.
7:52 p.m. – While on patrol in the East Main Street area, a business owner contacted a patrol officer for a sinkhole that was forming on the side of the road, just east of his business. The state highway department was advised of the same, and a traffic cone was placed over the hazard.
9:10 p.m. – Reporting party at a business on East Main Street reported that his vehicle had been struck while parked when he was inside of the business.
8:03 a.m. – Police mediated possible disturbance call from Tully Road area from a reporting party who had become agitated at what he thought might be cars driving up his driveway. Police advised them of options if he thought people were coming onto the property.
8:44 a.m. – North Main Street caller reported encountering a male about 10 minutes earlier, who appeared to be confused, walking down the road trying to get to Athol, might possibly be intoxicated. Police made contact with the male who, at that time, did not appear to be intoxicated. Police provided a courtesy ride to Athol line.
2:06 p.m. – West River Street report of alarm at that location. Police responded and checked. All exterior secured. No signs of forced entry.
