Thursday, Sept. 1

8:49 a.m. – Caller from Dexter Street area reported ongoing noise issue with a particular driver revving his engine while driving through the neighborhood and, according to the reporting party, causing a headache among the residents in the neighborhood. Reporting party wanted the incident on record and officers to be aware of subject’s driving.

3:02 p.m – Officers responded to a request for assistance at Putnam Street. Officers kept the peace while reporting party gathered his belongings. While there, a third party was on the phone with reporting party’s probation officer claiming he was drinking and violating his probation. APD officer at the scene spoke with the probation officer advising him that the allegations were false, and reporting party was, in fact, sober. Property was gathered and reporting party left without any issues.

11:41 p.m. – Daniel Shays Highway traffic stop for multiple traffic violations resulted in two arrests. Both operator and passenger found to be suspended and controlled substances located in the vehicle. Passenger found to have an extraditable warrant from another state. Both parties were taken into custody.

Friday, Sept. 2

4:38 a.m. – Route 2 traffic stop stopped a vehicle for speeding. The operator was found to have a suspended license. No licensed driver on scene and the vehicle was towed.

9:52 a.m. – Officer on patrol in the South Main and East River Street area was able to assist a friendly bulldog, which had approached him, become reunited with its owner.

1:10 p.m. – East River Street report of a found Visa card that was retrieved and the owner contacted.

3 p.m. – Police mediated a situation at Red Brook Lane after caller requested assistance with someone making a threat. On arrival, police spoke with the involved parties, who both admitted to saying things they should not have said and both apologized.

4:58 p.m. – 911 call from the King Street area with limited information then the call was lost. Upon call back, police got a message that the caller was unavailable. At 5:07 p.m., a 911 call was transferred from Athol Dispatch from a caller reporting someone, who uses sign language and has a prosthetic limb, had fallen off an electric bike near the park. A third party offered assistance to help them return to their apartment. Police were able to check on the subject, and that he was all set.

5:39 p.m. – Station lobby walk-in requested to speak with an officer regarding her daughter’s ex boyfriend constantly harassing them, and not leaving their house even after being handed three eviction notices. Options were discussed.

7:10 p.m. – Caller from Carpenter Street had left the key fob to their vehicle in the center console of an unlocked car. Reporting party added that nothing was missing from her mom’s car. Reporting party wanted it on record if a key fob is turned in to the APD.

8:50 p.m. – East River Street area store clerk reported a juvenile riding their bike in the parking lot for about a half an hour, who was asked to leave, and requested police assistance since they were still there. On police arrival juvenile was advised of the safety concerns the clerk had with him riding his bike in the parking lot. Police officer followed the juvenile home as he was worried about the roadway being too dark.

10:09 p.m. – Police responded to a noise complaint at Dexter Street. Police spoke with the females, who were on their porch, of the complaint. Police returned at 10:44 p.m. after another noise complaint, music got turned back up even louder. Officers spoke with all involved parties. Ongoing issue.

11:07 p.m. – Noise complaint from East River Street. Officer knocked at the door, but no answer. Music seemed to be turned down at that time.

Saturday, Sept. 3

12:31 a.m. – South Main Street complaint of kids throwing objects, including a traffic cone, at a window. Area was checked with negative contact.

5:07 p.m. – Dexter Street area caller requested an officer to report a harassment issue that had just occurred and seems to be an ongoing issue. Advised of options.

9:40 p.m. – Dexter Street caller requested an officer to review his camera footage of the neighbor throwing something at his car window. Camera footage was reviewed. There was nothing in the footage to suggest anyone threw an object. No people or items could be seen.
