Northampton’s Jonathan Briskman and Northfield’s Anna Zilinski led the way at the annual Sawmill River 10K Road Race in Montague Center on Saturday, as 97 runners traversed the course on New Year’s Eve Day.

Briskman was the overall winner, besting the field with a winning time of 32 minutes, 11 seconds, the fastest time on the course in the last 20 years.

Zilinski was the women’s division winner, as she finished in 40:45.

Results per division are as follows:

Open Division (Ages 18-39) – Female; Zilinski, Male; Briskman.

Master Division (Ages 40–49) – Female; Marcy Cabanas of Greenfield (41:57), Male; Wouter Hoodkamer of Pelham (32:51).

Senior Division (Ages 50-59) – Female; Joann Lynch of Dalton (53:22), Male; Christopher Gould of Amherst (38:41)

Senior-Plus Division (60 & Up) – Female; Sidney Letendre of Florence (49:14), Male; Kevin Pfefferle of Holyoke (39:16).

Proceeds from the event benefit the Montague Parks and Recreation Department’s Sponsor-A-Child Scholarship Program.
