Dorothy Jo-Ann Norton
Athol, MA – Dorothy Jo-Ann Norton, 90, of Athol, Massachusetts died
peacefully September 1, 2025. She was the daughter of Wallace and
Marjorie Avery (Bernard).
She married her high school sweetheart, Frank Norton in 1952. They had
two children, Frank and Rhonda.
She enjoyed sports, particularly basketball and softball. She enjoyed
sewing and making stuffed animals, especially sock monkeys. She liked
to garden, as well. She was a seamstress and later became a homemaker.
She is predeceased by her husband, Frank, and her daughter, Rhonda.
She is survived by her son Frank, grandchildren, Heidi, Robert,
Kenneth, Dorothy, and Michael and great grandchildren, Frank, Noah,
Gabriella, Jackson, Olivia, Lucia, and Mila.
Calling hours will be Monday, September 8, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 PM at
Mack Family Funeral Homes, Athol-Orange Chapel, 110 New Athol Rd.,
Orange, MA. The Funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at
10:00AM at the same location with the burial to follow at Silver Lake
Cemetery, Silver Lake St., Athol, MA.
