On Sat., Sept. 6, the Silver Lake Pickleball Association hosted its very first tournament at the recently renovated Silver Lake pickleball courts in Athol. The tournament format was Round Robin, with awards given to the top male and female players.
Nearly 40 participants showed up to play in the tournament. The youngest player was 15, the oldest player was 85. Several volunteers offered their time to organize the tournament, which was sponsored by local businesses. All profits from this event will be used towards the ongoing improvement of the Silver Lake Pickleball courts.
