Monday, Sept. 1
7:39 a.m. – Party calling upset over construction starting early on Main Street.
8:40 a.m. – Party reports female downtown randomly yelling at people. Officer observed party, no issues, she’s talking to herself.
1:22 p.m. – Officer flagged down for a motorcycle racing up and down Lincoln Street. Area checked and monitored, negative contact with vehicle in question.
Friday, Sept. 5
9:39 a.m. – Party into station to report identity theft. Party states someone called claiming they were from Apple and got into her phone and accounts. They were unable to get anything out. Has since closed all accounts and taken measures to secure phone and accounts.
Saturday, Sept. 6
10:59 a.m. – Father calling on behalf of his son who is a mailman, being assaulted by dogs. Officer spoke with son who stated that he was working his postal route on Main and Exchange streets, when a 5’7″ -5’10” dark skinned “Philipino” male came up to him and threatened him with his dog a black “Lab.” He then approached him and flipped his hat off his head. He had already reported it to USPS. He had no injuries and the male party was no longer on scene, officers checked the area but did not find anyone matching that description. Officers clear.
Sunday, Sept. 7
10:56 a.m. – Reporting party from Kelton Street calling 911 about having a verbal altercation with a neighbor, who also threw items at him and was cursing and yelling at him. Second 911 call from neighbor also reporting a verbal altercation because his neighbor races up and down the street. Officer spoke with both parties. Both parties were advised of their options and to call police when there are speeding motor vehicles instead of confronting each other.
1:23 p.m. – 911 call for a black VW racing up and down Pleasant Street. Officer located vehicle. Officers spoke with a male party who stated that the reporting party keeps calling anytime someone comes to his house. Stated the vehicle was parked for approximately one hour. Officers advised the party of his options based on past experiences he explained to the sergeant earlier.
Tuesday, Sept. 16
12:15 a.m. – Suspicious vehicle reported. Male party sleeping in his vehicle, had issues with the vehicle on Route 2 and needed to pull off for the night. Has made arrangements to fix the vehicle in the morning and continue on his way. No issues.
7:33 a.m. – Caller requesting a cruiser to her location at Harvard Avenue and Elizabeth Street. States female party intentionally lets her dogs out to scare the kids at the bus stop, told the caller to “go *** herself” when the caller asked her to bring them in. Dogs still running around. Spoke with both parties, advised of complaint
Wednesday, Sept. 17
9:04 a.m. – Caller would like to speak to an officer about a controlled substance violation through their pharmacy. Officer spoke with subject from Pelmeds Pharmacy out of Fitchburg. He stated there had been an accidental delivery of medications and controlled substances to Lenox Street in Athol. Party from Lenox signed for all medication and took ownership. The delivery driver noticed he had made the mistake and went back to the address to obtain the medication. Parties at the residence only gave the driver a few of the medications. Officer advised caller that medications were taken from Morgan earlier this morning and have been tagged into property at the Athol Police Department for safekeeping. Caller stated he would contact police department around 7 a.m. on Sept. 18 regarding retrieving medications and to follow up on investigation.
2:21 p.m. – Bus driver is reporting seeing a boy sitting on the road with a bicycle on top of him at Chestnut and Tremont streets. Bus driver did not have any more information. Officer checked the area and side streets, spoke with people walking in the area. Negative contact.
Thursday, Sept. 18
9:07 a.m. – Suspicious vehicle call in the South Athol Road and Riceville Road area. Made contact with parties who were working with National Grid. All was well.
Friday, Sept. 19
8:54 a.m. – Female into station to report a vehicle parked the wrong way without tags. Officer spoke to the registered owner on the phone. Vehicle is a disabled motor vehicle and transmission does not work. Registered owner will expedite process for junkyard.
12:36 p.m. – Report of a vehicle that has been parked on Hillside Terrace for three days. Officer spoke with registered owner, stated he was parking it there temporarily and will move by the end of the day.
2:24 p.m. – Report of a female on Brookside Road in the parking lot throwing an axe up in the air and trying to catch it. Officer saw female party by the line 30+ minutes ago, Orange Police Department was advised as well. Checked area, party gone on arrival.
Monday, Sept. 22
8:44 a.m. – Subject requesting a VIN verification. The vehicle is at his residence. Advised him that an officer will be over shortly to complete the verification.
2:25 p.m. – Caller from Gibson Driver reporting a possibly intoxicated female harassing her for her dog barking for the past 10 minutes. Second caller reporting she is being harassed and being yelled at and stated she is just sitting outside. Both parties advised to stay away from each other, ongoing issues
Wednesday, Sept. 24
7:13 a.m. – Reporting party reports having someone on his porch last night on South Street. Officer spoke with the reporting party/landlord of South Street. Reporting party stated his tenant had contacted him to report that an unknown male party had gone onto the shared porch, ringing the doorbell and knocking. As of now, nothing was stolen and the male party stayed on the porch for approximately 45 minutes before leaving. Reporting party sent officer video footage of the male party who is unidentified at this time.
2:34 p.m. – Reporting party from Wallingford Avenue stated he came home to his apartment around approximately 2:15 p.m. and noticed his base board heat was set for 80 degrees. Reporting party stated he did not notice anything missing from within his apartment and did not observe any signs of forced entry. Reporting party was advised to call back if he notices anything out of place or missing. Reporting party stated he believes it was his neighbor.
