Thank you, Tolley M. Jones, for the My Turn column on March 13 [“This is exactly who we are“]. This history is exactly what I’ve been trying to articulate in my own head for years. Of course there’s pushback to teaching this! But it’s precisely what we should be teaching: America’s real history of colonization and oppression. I appreciate the well-researched and thought-out article. My only question is: What now?
