Thank you for your May 5 article about the photos of the Quabbin Reservoir being on display at the State House.

I think it is important for people to continue to acknowledge the sacrifices made by our ancestors all those years ago so the eastern part of our state could have fresh water.

My father, born in 1911, was a young person living in that area when this happened. I wish I had asked him more questions about it when he was alive. It must have been heartbreaking for all the people who lost their homes and communities back them. I think we owe it to them to make sure future generations are aware this happened.
