Wendell Meetinghouse hosting multiple events this week
WENDELL — “Goodness Shakes” Dance Elevation will host Wendell’s Pride Celebration, a dance party with DJ C-Ferg, at the Wendell Meetinghouse at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 5.
Fancy attire is encouraged but not required. This event is queer and all-gender positive, and all ages are welcome, as long as children are supervised.
There will be some artmaking options available. The dance is substance-free, scent-free and outdoor shoe-free.
A warm-up is scheduled from 6:30 to 7 p.m., with an opening circle at 7 p.m. The dance goes until 8:30. There is a suggested donation of $5 to $15, though no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Then, from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, also at the Wendell Meetinghouse, people will explore block printing. Participants of all skill levels will dabble in design, carving and printmaking via a variety of techniques across paper and textile printing with Kady Woods.
Advanced registration is required at tinyurl.com/June6BlockPrinting. Fees vary from $30 to $50. The fee is $15 with a state EBT Card to Culture.
