Harper Modestow dropped 34 points for the Frontier summer league basketball team in a 69-21 win over Pioneer at Franklin Tech on July 9. Addie Harrington added 20 points in the decisive win.
Deveney Pillsbury led Pioneer with 10 points, while Arianna Perkins chipped in with 10 points.
Greenfield 31, Athol 27 — Greenfield got past Athol behind 10 points from Tayler Bergeron. Greenfield’s Annie Cobileanschi (nine points) and Sarah McCloud (seven points) also contributed to the offensive effort.
Maliah Clark led the Bears with 16 points. KK Brito-Jimenez added five points.
Mahar 35, Franklin Tech 19 — The Senators got some balanced scoring in the win over the Eagles. Nastasia Sanders, Lexi Ares and Jaya McBroom each scored eight points. Bella Brown-Stratton scored nine points for Franklin Tech. Madison Ross added six points.
Mohawk 24, Franklin Tech 21 — In the final game of the evening, the Warriors edged the Eagles. Emmalee Inman scored nine points for Mohawk, with Valerie Bzomowski adding five points. Sarah Beckwith scored eight points for Franklin Tech. Ross scored six points again for the Eagles.

Liberty Tax Sharks 7, Smitty’s Pub/JRB 4 — Che Christi had three hits in the win for the Sharks on July 8. Trevor Thomas (double) and Kyle Conway both added two hits. Bobbi Morey knocked runs in the victory.
For Smitty’s Pub/JRB, Maddy Atkocaitas led the way with three hits. Colton Yazierski and Maura Crossman both added two hits.
Pioneer Valley Women’s Softball League
Shelburne Falls 13, Cummington 9 — Amanda Chapin and Emilie Brodeur both homered in the win for Shelburne Falls in Buckland on July 9. Chapin finished with two RBI and added a triple. Ashley Tompkins hit an inside-the-park home run for Cummington.
