They join other family groups and longtime members. Many band members have more than 50 years of membership.

The program on July 17 will include such favorites as “What a Wonderful World,” “The Desert Song” and “Riffin’ the Blues,” plus other pieces.

Hannaford undergoing remodel

The Hannaford supermarket on the Athol-Orange town line at 150 New Athol Road is experiencing a refresh through remodeling.

The renovation, which started in June, is intended to bring a greater variety of fresh products and increased convenience to customers. The project is anticipated to be complete in fall 2026.

The store is staying open with temporarily modified hours and regular service during the work. The store is open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 7 a.m. through 10 p.m.

Upon completion, customers will enjoy updated displays featuring local products, a wider array of hot prepared foods, and new deli, meat, produce and bakery sections. The remodeling project will also incorporate new features that enhance the store’s energy-efficiency and reduce its carbon emissions, including the installation of a new carbon dioxide refrigeration system and electric cooking equipment.

“We’re deeply committed to serving the Orange and Athol communities, and want to make it as easy and convenient as possible for our customers to enjoy fresh, quality food at a dependable value,” Hannaford’s Athol/Orange Store Manager Joe Goody said in a statement. “We thank our customers for their patience and understanding during this project, and look forward to unveiling the newly remodeled store in the coming months.”
